A game about interstellar travel, that blends the simple merchant life and that of a pirate What’s new in Endless Sky 0. 9. 9: Significant graphics and physics engine optimizations. Cloaked ships can now be hit by projectiles. Turrets turn slower, allowing fast ships to dodge them more easily. Ramscoop and solar power effectiveness now varies from star to star. READ THE FULL CHANGELOG Endless Sky is an indie game that throws you into an unexplored universe and leaves you to forge your own fate and role in the big cosmic picture. Play as a hardworking merchant or be the dangerous pirate everyone avoids, it’s up to you. A casual game with plenty to offer At first you’re given the chance to choose between three starter ships, two for commerce and one for plundering. After that, you begin to make your way through the vastness of space, jumping from one solar system to another. The gameplay mechanics are very easy to pick up adding to the casual nature of the game. Every inhabited planet you reach offers missions, you can hire crews, equip your ship with new tech, and you can even manage your finances at the local bank. In terms of content, Endless Sky has enough to keep you going for a long time if you like roguelike gameplay. There is plenty to do and even more to discover. Indie looks but the good kind In terms of visuals, Endless Sky might not please your eyes all that much but for an indie title, it holds its own quite well. The graphics are simple but well implemented, the animations are just enough to allow you to enjoy a space fight between you and pirates, and the effects, both audio and visual, are well adapted to the theme and style of the game. What I’m trying to say is the fact that although Endless Sky might not look fantastic, its charm resides in the entire experience. As a whole, it’s a relaxing game to play with plenty of tough or exciting moments. Worth looking into if you’re into roguelikes Although it’s not purely a roguelike, Endless Sky has plenty features that describe the genre. In fact, it’s better than a lot of roguelikes, you should check it out.
