Destroy enemy spaceships in this third-person arcade sim sporting a lot of action In the event of an alien attack, it’s almost a guarantee that we won’t be able to do much until they actually decide to land, given the fact that we lack any sort of war-ready spaceship. Our sci-fi movies may feature grand battleships and other such contraptions, but real world physics are pretty forbidding, at least when it comes to the resources and technology needed. Defend the planet from an alien attack Terre Defense 2 is a basic room shooter played from a third person point of view, in which your only goal is to shoot everything that tries to get too close to you. The gameplay is very rough and basic, so don’t expect an actual simulation, not to mention the fact that the flight model is also as simple as possible. On the other hand, the game can certainly keep you entertained for a few minutes. There’s even a tale mode to keep your imagination in check, although the plot is usually so thin it can disappear entirely without being observed. Hence, some aliens invade the planet and you have to defend your world with the help of a battleship fleet. Although you can only control a tiny fighter, the big ships fire every now and again as well, which provides you with a bit of help. Basic graphics and simple controls The most disappointing part of the game is the fact that you will be not allowed to move in three dimensions, given the fact that your movement is restricted on all three axes. Thus, a slight turn is usually all that you can achieve, which makes the combat very annoying. Not only that, but the enemies come from every direction, so you are always unable to defend yourself properly. As for the graphics, they are certainly not worthy of any awards, given the fact that everything you see is black, a very pixelated Earth in the background, and the occasional spaceship. The latter are actually better looking than everything else, but the problem is that you rarely get the chance to gaze upon them, so it’s not much of a success. A decent way to waste a few minutes In the end, Terre Defense 2 will be not the kind of game that gets you going for hours on end, because there’s not enough content for that to happen. In addition , the gameplay is very basic and unimpressive, even if this is your first contact with space shooters.
