Granted, many of these titles can be a bit too scary and complex for casual gamers, especially if you are just looking for something simple to play every now and again without putting hours upon hours of training into the game. Choose a class and engage in multiple game modes The Ultimatest Battle is a 2D shooter with a few platformer elements, in which you get to battle other players on small maps and use a variety of ludicrous weapons to come out on top. The game is as basic as it gets in terms of movement and graphics, but the gameplay mechanics are actually very engaging, especially since you can play with many different classes that have different abilities. As such, you can jump straight into the action from the main menu and choose from a number of game modes, although most of them are fairly basic, similar deathmatch or conquest. Furthermore, every character class has an unique weapon and special ability, which allows you to tackle the battles in different ways, depending on whether you have a grenade launcher on your hands or a melee weapon for close combat. Decent graphics and simple controls One of the more interesting aspects of the game is the fact that explosions affect the environment, which is why the maps are full of holes after the first few minutes of battle. In fact , you can use this to your advantage sometimes, or use grenades to make enemy movement a lot harder. Most of the environment is destructible, on the other hand, so there’s always something to blow up. As far as the movement is concerned, you move using the keyboard and aim with your mouse, which is about as straightforward as it gets in the genre. Everything works about as smoothly as you can expect, although the fixed camera can be a bit of a bother sometimes, because there are situations where you cannot see your enemies or where your bullets go. Speaking of which, the graphics are certainly not bad, but they probably won’t win any awards either. A fun experience for casual shooter fans In the end, The Ultimatest Battle achieves its purpose, which is to provide players with a fun experience that does not discriminate against newcomers. Furthermore, you can also use real money to purchase cosmetic items and distinguish yourself from everyone else.
