There are not many new ideas in terms of gameplay, but the twin-stick mechanics are highly addictive, especially since they provide you with quite the challenge. An interesting addition to the formula is the destructible environment, which allows you to tackle problems in a much more direct manner. Hence, almost everything can be destroyed if you shoot it with enough bullets, and you can even make your own path through the levels sometimes if you feel like it. The game also features a few roguelike elements, which allow you to acquire loot and even keep it between playthroughs. These items make it much easier to deal with enemies, but your skills matter the most in the grand scheme of things, because it doesn’t really matter how great the armor you wear is if you stay in the way of danger for too long. In case the game is a bit too difficult for you to handle, the trainer at hand makes it much easier to experience the whole game without dying all the time.
