Cute local multiplayer brawler in which you build towers and try to topple or steal everyone else’s Local multiplayer games are not exactly common nowadays, but the nostalgics among us are often looking for a simple, fun brawler that can be enjoyed with friends from the comfort of a couch. Totemori is a fun little game that can be played by up to four friends from the same computer, either in teams or in a no-rules free-for-all. It combines tower building and arena brawler elements, and it is very intense, but it could use some more polish. Build, steal and destroy Matches take place inside a little arena, where players need to use the available blocks to create huge towers while preventing their enemies from doing the same. While the mechanics are quite simple, there are many ways to win or lose a game. For instance, you can use the falling blocks to build a large tower and defend it against your enemies, but it can also be possible to hinder your opponents and take over the towers they have created by placing another block at the right time. Exciting brawler that can be played with friends or against bots Totemori supports up to four players, and it can be enjoyed with a controller or keyboard. However, a controller strongly recommended for the best experience. The controls are fully customizable, and two people can even play using the same keyboard. Games can be set up to be played in teams or in a chaotic free-for-all, and bots are also available. However, even though there are several maps to choose from, the gameplay gets repetitive rather quickly. For this reason, we would like to see additional game modes or other gameplay elements introduced in the future. Promising game that still needs a bit of work Make no mistake, Totemori is an insanely fun party game that can be enjoyed for hours on end. Its fast-paced gameplay and amusing characters will have you coming back for more, as long as you have a comfortable couch for your friends to relax on. Unfortunately, though, is seems that there are still a few kinks to be ironed out. We experienced a few crashes during our tests, mostly when attempting to access the Options menu. While our matches were never interrupted because of this, it is an issue that needs to be dealt with as quickly as possible.
