For those unfamiliar with the genre, they are the games where you have a top-down view of yourself, and swarms of enemies are coming from all corners of the screen, and your only job is to survive. That is precisely the blueprint that Resistance is Fruitile follows, as it sends you right in the midst of a fruity mayhem. They took your cake The entire premise of the game will be rather simple: the fruits that were at your weddings on the tables have risen and stolen your beautiful chocolate wedding cake, and it is up to you to get it back. Staying true to the story, Resistance is Fruitile allows a second player to join in on the mayhem, basically allowing the two players to play as the husband and the wife. Kill the fruit, get the loot Enemies killed will give you a little bit of experience, but since there are plenty of enemies coming at you at all times, you’ll be growing more and more powerful in no time. Leveling up comes in the form of you getting the opportunity of drawing from a stack of cards, each card hiding a secret perk that will empower you in one way or another. Looks good, plays good The game is rendered in 8-bit graphics which allows it to run on even the oldest of PCs. More so, each map has a different arrangement and the enemies come in different shapes, sizes and at a variety of intervals, so you never get bored of shooting the same old strawberries over and over. Shoot your enemies until they end up as a salad serving Resistance is Fruitile is simple, funny and enjoyable to the point of almost being addicting, all of which are qualities that make up a good game with a lot of potential.
