However, they can still be challenging in other ways, especially those that pit you against other human players in multiplayer matches. Thus, developers can create extremely engaging experiences if they add enough interesting elements. Build a base and defend it from enemies GUNS UP! is a real-time strategy game with tower defense mechanics, in which you get to build a base and defend it using a variety of troops. To make things even more interesting, you also get to attack enemy bases, which adds quite a bit of variety to the whole formula. In addition, the game features cross-platform multiplayer, so you can compete with people from all over the world, regardless of whether they are using a PC or a mobile device. To begin with, there’s a tutorial to get you started with the basics, which allows you to learn how to handle both offensive and defensive situations. Naturally, it’s important to build and improve your base in order to withstand enemy attacks, but in order to do so you require resources. As you might have already guessed, resources are earned by conquering enemy bases and completing objectives. Asynchronous PvP battles and colorful graphics As far as the multiplayer is concerned, the battles are unique in terms of pace, because the action is not in real time. Instead, you get to watch replays of your opponent’s attacks and respond accordingly, which allows you to carefully plan your strategies. On the other hand, this can be a tad anticlimactic at times, depending on whether you are a hardcore RTS fan or not. Thankfully, the game is mostly aimed at a more casual audience, and you can tell that by the way the interface is designed. Everything is usually just one click away, and the base-building is just as straightforward as well. As far as the graphics are concerned, they are obviously simple enough to work on mobile devices, but that doesn’t mean the game looks ugly. A great way for casual players to have a blast In the end, GUNS UP! may be a bit too simple for hardcore strategy fans, but it certainly features a lot of content, and it can keep you busy for a long time. In addition, the cross-platform multiplayer is a great way to make sure there is always someone to challenge you online.
