Whether you want to help people or mug them like a true pirate, the choice is yours, although the game still needs a lot of work in order to get rid of bugs and various other problems that plague it at the moment. You are free to explore the map as you see fit, but don’t expect too much variety in this regard, at least not right now. The archipelago is not as exciting as it could be, and there are not too many options at your disposal gameplay-wise, but the sandbox nature of the game is enough to keep you happy for a while. Speaking of which, the map is actually randomly-generated every time you start a new game, so the replay value is definitely up there. You can also meet various cultures and types of people throughout the journey, some of which are not as friendly as others. Battles are an important part of the game, but don’t expect too much complexity in this regard. The most time consuming activity you have to undertake is the gathering of resources, because this allows you to customize your fleet and purchase all sorts of upgrades for your vessels. The crew can be improved along the way too, depending on your requirements. In case you find it too difficult to survive out on the ocean, this trainer can make the game a lot more forgiving with just a few keystrokes. Thus, you can instantly receive as much gold as you need, or even get a hold of infinite sails to never worry about having enough upgrades again.
