Escape the zombie invasion and explore an open map in this first-person shooter with fast-paced gameplay Zombies are great enemies in video games, especially since thousands of them can be added without working on background stories for any of them. However , the action must be engaging enough to keep the players engaged, otherwise the incessant shooting gets boring in a rush. Thankfully, there are other ways to make the action feel like it has a purpose. Obliterate your enemies as swiftly as possible To Survive 3 is a casual first-person shooter in which zombies are your main enemies, and unfortunately there is nothing else to do either. In short, you are placed on an open map, given a pistol, and told that you must survive for as long as possible. Naturally, zombies start to attack you from every direction, so the task is far from easy, regardless of how true your aim is. The open map is not as big as it appears at first either, since you can easily walk from one end to the other in under a minute. Furthermore, the buildings that decorate it is mostly there for cosmetic reasons, because you cannot actually enter them. Hence, because the map is too small and the zombies come in big numbers, sometimes it’s pretty frustrating to stay alive. Avoid the enemy attacks at all costs Although you cannot get infected by the zombies, they can kill you if you let them get too many shots. Weapons come in handy whenever a monster approaches you, but it takes a while until you manage to get something other than a pistol. Thus, having to empty a full clip to drop a single zombie gets frustrating quite fast, especially since there are so many of them attacking at any given time. Lastly, the graphics are actually not bad for a change, although fairly basic from a technical point of view. If the gameplay was worth the effort, the visual component would actually be decent, but in this case it doesn’t make too much of a difference. The sound effects are terrible, on the other hand, although they can easily be ignored if push comes to shove. A regular zombie shooter with nothing special about it All things considered, To Survive 3 could have done a lot more with the elements at its disposal, but the developers chose to push a tasteless copycat onto the market instead. Thus, there’s nothing new or exciting here, just more of the same and even less than that in some regards.
