Experience the game world from a dual perspective and use common objects to solve various puzzles ATUM is a point and click adventure game like no other. In ATUM you step into a world that connects you with a virtual character from a game that runs on your home computer. Unique and fun gameplay mechanics From a genre perspective, ATUM cleverly combines point and click with puzzle platformer mechanics which offers an unique feeling when playing the game. You start by entering a room heading towards your computer where one of your game projects is running. As you take a look around, you’ll easily notice the highlighted buttons the keyboard indicating the basic controls of the game. Upon starting the game you get the feeling that somehow your world and the game world are interconnected and sooner than you think you’ll reach a point that will finally prove you right. Interact with objects and used them to progress As you explore this strange game world, you will realize that ordinary objects found on your desk can be used to advance throughout the game on your computer. For example, dark areas can be lit using the lighter, but you can also set exploding barrels on fire using the same object. Other puzzles will require you to use a battery to recharge motors or a magnet to move heavy objects, but I’ll let you discover on your own where the smoke comes in handy. This multi-layered gameplay makes the whole experience quite immersive and intriguing giving you enough reasons to carry on and see what other objects could be used or what other puzzles will require your godly intervention. A point-and-click puzzle platformer like no other ATUM might offer a brief gameplay, but the overall mechanics and experience offered will make you play it at least one more time, especially after you discover how it ends. The great aspect will be that the concept can be further expanded with more puzzles and more interactive objects which will surely turn ATUM instantly into a must play game.
