Help a lady get ready for her interview while taking her on a cab ride in this visual novel Sometimes strangers can make perfect conversation friends, probably because it’s easier to open up when you might not ever see the person in question again. Granted, you have to be careful who you share information with, because not everyone has the best intentions in mind. Hence, bartenders and taxi drivers are perfect conversation partners, given the nature of their jobs. A cab ride turns into an interesting conversation Where To? is an interactive visual novel in which you play as a taxi driver picking up a fare, in which you also get to interact with your customer and maybe get a glimpse into her life. The game is very short and unimpressive in terms of gameplay, but you can take multiple routes in terms of dialog, so you can re-play the experience more than once and see other sides of the conversation. The customer you pick up is a woman heading for an interview, but she has a few other problems in her life as well. It’s also worth mentioning that the woman in question is actually a combination between a mouse and a human, which does not really have an impact on the story anyway. Hence, you can find out more about her by asking questions over the course of the trip. Decent graphics and dynamic backgrounds As mentioned before, you can ask certain questions every now and again, and these questions steer the conversation in one direction or another. There are no wrong decisions, on the other hand, so you cannot get a bad ending or anything of the sort. Instead, your dialog options decide what you find out about your fare, so you can go through the game a few more times to see everything there is to see. The graphics are not particularly memorable either, but the characters are definitely detailed and nicely detailed. The perspective can be a bit strange sometimes, but at least you can admire the whole trip through the windows and see the city disappearing behind you, although the artwork is simple to say the least. Not much can be said about the audio part either, but it’s not very important in such short experiences. A neat visual novel to pass the time with Given the fact that a playthrough only takes you about ten minutes, Where To? is not exactly a memorable experience, but it can at least change your mood for the better.
